The Chronicle of Higher Education seeks a talented Web Designer with a strong background in CSS to join the New Media department. Successful candidates will have: several years of expertise hand-writing code; solid background with XHTML, CSS, DOM-based JavaScript, fully-tableless layouts, and semantic code; experience with Web standards, usability, and accessibility principals; and knowledge of cross-browser issues and solutions. This person must be comfortable working with deadlines, and be able to prioritize projects proficiently. Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years experience with related technologies preferred.
