Billups Design is a growing Chicago-based, design-focused interactive agency that is seeking a talented front-end web developer to join our accomplished team. You will be responsible for engineering web-based interactive solutions, working hand-in-hand with our designers, and using a variety of development platforms. We foster an environment where innovative thinking, dedicated teamwork and a little humor are all valued.
Daily Responsibilities
• Producing browser-based software solutions to realize website design and interface concepts.
• Interact and self-manage with a team of user experience and visual designers, software engineers, quality assurance, project managers and other interface developers.
Required Experience
• 2+ years demonstrated development experience with advanced DHTML/XHTML, CSS, Javascript, DOM and XML.
• Experience with Photoshop and CS3 apps to create usable interface designs
• Working within e-commerce, CMS, FAQ, and other web apps.
• Proficiency with assuring cross-browser/cross-platform compatability using DOM and web standards
• Knowledge of user-experience best-practices
Desired Skills
• Flash/Actionscript, Flex, AIR experience
• MooTools or similar frameworks
• Familiar with Object-oriented programming
