The Senior Software Engineer’s responsibilities encompass all phases of the software development lifecycle. The individual will analyze technical requirements and functional specifications, create detailed technical designs, write code, and perform unit testing. The position requires frequent interaction with other functional teams such as Product Management, Business Systems Analysts, and Quality Assurance. The individual is required to have a good understanding of software development methodologies, languages, and tools with the ability to apply this knowledge towards the development of high quality applications.

Essential Functions:

• Analyze functional specifications and develop detailed technical designs
• Research technical issues and propose solutions
• Code application features (for both new or legacy apps)
• Participate in reviews of the work of fellow team members
• Create and execute unit test plans
• Interface and assist other functional groups, such as Business Systems Analysts and Quality Assurance
• Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, time reporting and progress reporting

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strong analytical skills
• 6+ years of software development experience using objected-oriented methodology
• 6+ years developing applications for the Windows and/or Web-based platforms
