Position Description: You will be responsible for working with our small team of creative software engineers improving our existing software and developing new applications built around mobile communications. Experience in high volume, highly available server systems and a firm understanding of the intricacies of mobile data networks is ideal.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and test client applications/features in J2ME, Blackberry, and BREW.
• Actively participate in porting applications to new devices.
• Work closely with product management and users to understand product requirements, and with server-side colleagues to develop optimum network aware products.

Position Requirements:

• A minimum of a BS in Computer Science and 5 years of relevant programming experience.
• A minimum of 2 years recent experience developing advanced, network-aware applications on mobile devices using J2ME. Experience with Blackberry, BREW, Symbian, Palm, or Windows Mobile is desirable.
• Experience with JSR75, JSR120, JSR135, JSR172, JSR205 is desirable.
• Experience with developing across a wide array of mobile devices. Must understand differences in mobile platform implementation.
• Experience with deploying production mobile applications on a major carrier.
• Must have exposure to the delivery of successful client/server applications through the full product lifecycle.
• Must be conversant with, and have completed projects in at least three different programming languages.
• Practical experience with mobile markup languages such as XHTML/CHTML/WAP, along with a good dose of server side development.
