Position and Responsibilities

This position is for an in-house developer, initially 24 hours per week with the possibility of turning into a full-time engagement.

We’re looking for an experienced, creative, and ambitious front-end Web developer with a strong sense of interface design, graphic design and usability. You will be responsible for prototyping, developing and integrating core HTML and CSS elements of the GOOD website, which is undergoing a major redesign of front- and back-end, in which you will play a key role. You will be working directly with creative director, experience designer, graphic designers, and back-end programmers, where the main emphasis lies on the integration of HTML and CSS with the PHP/mySQL back-end applications.

  • Thorough understanding of cross-platform browser compliance
  • Excellent knowledge of Javascript (jQuery and AJAX preferred)
  • Expert command of the latest semantic XHTML, the DOM and CSS
  • Demonstrated fluency with design tools like Photoshop and Illustrator and Flash
  • Working knowledge of PHP/mySQL
  • Working knowledge of WordPress (preferred)
  • Working knowledge XML and XSLT (preferred)
  • Practical experience with SVN

Leveraging Your Experiences

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of related experience with mentioned web applications and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to work on a diverse scope of software and database projects requiring detailed analysis, creative and practical problem solving, and sound judgment.
