Under the direction of the Product Manager, the Web Product Specialist will manage development and implementation of new products, features and traffic initiatives for the FastWeb Web site and related projects. Responsibilities are heavily focused on creation and management of documentation through the product development process.

Essential Functions:

• Product Documentation
• Work with the Product Manager(s) coordinating the product definition, specification, and development processes
• Conduct product research and create and refining product documentation
• Creation and validation of user experience, site architecture and information architecture deliverables (wireframes, site maps, task flows)
• Gather and document business requirements for online products
• Monitor and report on ongoing progress of multiple product development projects
• Document and distribute decisions and outcomes reached by the product teams
• Track issues and decisions. Escalate and drive decisions to meet deadlines and requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and 2- 3 years of experience creating IA documentation and/or requirements documentation for web solutions or internet projects; experience with web analytics a plus
• Ideal candidate is not expected to be a technical expert but must have solid technical understanding of both web based and data driven technologies
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
• Understanding of business requirements, business processes and their dependencies
• Ability to communicate with various levels and functions within the organization as well as convey complicated information clearly and succinctly in writing
• Competence with project management methodologies, and the tools which support the delivery of successful small to large projects

There is no relocation assistance offered for this position. Candidates must be willing and able to report to 444 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL on a daily basis.
