WeatherBill is an energetic early-stage technology startup with a strong engineering pedigree that is working on an innovative new platform to address the global issue of how weather affects the world. Started in mid-2006 by two early ex-Googlers, we have created new market in highly-customizable contracts that businesses can buy to help protect themselves financially from the impact of adverse weather. The market is young and poised for huge growth, and WeatherBill remains the technology and innovation leader in the space.

We are looking for strong object-oriented JavaScript developers to work on exciting new ideas for web applications/widgets focused on weather (one of the largest datasets you can get!), and to help build creative solutions to the type of hard UI problems associated with making sophisticated concepts intuitive and accessible to end users.

Required background:

• Expertise writing high-quality object-oriented JavaScript
• 2+ years webapp development experience
• Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS/XML
• Experience with popular JS libraries (e.g. jquery, prototype)
• Some Java knowledge preferred
• Flash experience a plus
• Contributions to open source JS projects/libraries a strong plus
• Computer Science or similar technical background
