Picnik.com is seeking experienced developer in the Seattle area to help design and implement all aspects of our award-winning online photo-editor. We’re a small team of talented, experienced folk who also know how to achieve work/life balance. The ideal candidate should have a strong history of creating consumer applications (web or offline) and be comfortable expressing complex tasks in UI in such a way that is easily consumed by the average internet user. We need a self motivator with a commitment to delivering a high quality online experience as well. Expertise in imaging technology is not required but is a very desirable. Finally, you must have significant experience contributing to exceptional customer-facing apps and production work in multiple or varied languages/environments.

Skills:

- 3 + years working experience in application development

- BS/BA in computer science or equivalent experience

- Imaging and\or Graphics technology expertise helpful

- Significant expertise in at least one of the following: Flex/ActionScript, C++, C#, .NET, Ruby, or Python

- Direct experience with the use of current web APIs is a plus.

- Passion for user interaction, interfaces, and usability.

- Excellent exploratory, debugging, and problem solving skills are required, as are good written and verbal communication skills.
