Primary lead for Harvard Business School (HBS)-wide intranet program management and project execution. Proactively manages execution on HBS-wide Intranet project portfolio including project planning, resource allocation, schedule conflict resolution, and delivery. Manages program of projects as defined by the Director and HBS governance bodies. Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to stakeholders. Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. Identifies and manages risk appropriately. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis. Facilitates team and client meetings effectively. Holds regular status meetings with project team. Keeps project team well informed of changes. Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors. Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Requirements: BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education in web or IT technical project management. 5+ years of project management experience. Comprehensive knowledge of Web & Intranet CMS and Portal development projects. Solid track-record of successfully developing projects from start to completion. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams in high-pressure situations. Outstanding organizational and presentation skills. Ability to multi-task and process information expeditiously. Strong Web and technical knowledge as well as computer skills, including MS Project. MS Sharepoint knowledge preferred. Working knowledge of user centered design methodologies preferred.
