Livemocha is looking for an experienced and passionate User Experience & User Interaction Designer that loves to design and develop industry-disrupting social applications and community-supported products. At Livemocha, we take solving user problems seriously and believe good feature concepts live and die by intuitive and simple design. As the sole User Experience & User Interaction Designer, you will work on the Product Management team and will own the full definition, design, and execution of all features and will be an instrumental and key contributor driving overall product strategy.

The ideal candidate will be organized, agile, think strategically, and pay great attention to detail – most importantly, you’re excited at the prospect of being responsible for social design, user requirements, user experience and interaction design, product management for a sizable (over 400k users), passionate, global (over 200 countries) community.

Required Skills and Experience

• You thrive in a small, fast-paced startup environment, you can change direction quickly, and you’re eager to learn new things as the need arises.
• Proven ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.
• Ability to analyze user data (feedback, tests, etc) in order to create requirements and specs.
• You are able to work well with a small / agile development team, and present ideas and designs effectively.
• You are self-motivated to prioritize and manage work load, and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
• Familiar with current user experience and usability research, theories, best practices and methodologies.
• You have 1-2 years (Junior-level) or 3+ years (Senior-level) experience designing outstanding consumer facing websites as a key member of the Design or Product Management team.
• You must be a rock star in wireframing tools such as Visio, Fireworks, OmniGraffle, etc.
