We at Etchstar are looking for a dynamic, innovative, web designer for a full time, on-site design and production position. You will join our collaborative process participating in all phases of concept, ideation, design, production, and development. We’re searching for that talented, driven, code-centric ass-kicker who’s ready and capable of designing and building on to our innovative websites.

Etchstar.com is an on-demand laser customization service. We sell custom iPods and custom laptop computers at the same prices as Apple, but with better options for customization & personalization. Etchstar.com also customizes dog tags, metal business cards, Zunes, PCs, Nintendo’s, skateboards and anything else you can dream up.

Duties:

• Front end production for range of online stores, web collateral, integrated admin modules, emails, and promotions
• Maintain the design, databases, and code of our online stores
• Develop additions and new features for our online stores (all built with LAMP: Note, PHP expertise is really important)

Qualifications:

• Expertise of valid XHTML / CSS / XML
• Knowledge and experience with Javascript / MySQL / PHP
• Fluency with Photoshop / Illustrator / Flash (a plus)
• Experience with compatibility / cross-platform browser designs
• Knowledge and experience developing SEO friendly code
• History of participation in e-commerce solutions
• Raging passion to experiment and kick ass!!!!
