Synctree is looking for top notch front end engineers to work on our world class social networking platform. Being a User Interface Engineer at Synctree means you will have a unique opportunity to work with a small team of talented people solving interesting problems. Ideally, we would like to work with hard working, talented, self-motivated people who have no problem finishing projects.

Requirements: 3+ years experience in development 2+ years experience in web application development Strong XHTML and CSS skills, especially in developing semantic markup. Strong Javascript development skills with a keen eye toward client side performance. Strong working knowledge developing cross platform/browser compatibility (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.) Experience working with grid frameworks (like Blueprint, YUI Grids, etc) Strong communication skills, with no problems expressing oneself in writing. Experience working with common UI paradigms, but in the browser (like Drag and Drop, mouseover menus, rich tooltips, etc). Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to function independently and still work well in a "team oriented" environment.

Preferred: Strong knowledge of prototype.js, scriptaculous, and/or another preferred js framework. Experience working with microformats. Experience working with Ruby on Rails. Natural web design sense. BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
