POSITION & COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Imagination, the most passionate engagement marketing agency in America, is looking to add a Director of Technology & Production to our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work and progress within an award-winning creative agency.

The Director of Technology & Production is responsible for developing, managing and implementing digital media strategies and business cases for customer engagement. S/he will work with the internal and external clients to understand user needs, help define project requirements and business objectives, and functional and technical requirements. The Director is responsible for proactively managing client expectations and working closely with the Digital Media Group to ensure that the requirements meet project objectives.

The candidate will work with the client teams and the Digital Media group to detail experience features, functionality and interaction, working to ensure the requirements include the team’s expertise, client knowledge and perspectives. S/he is responsible for creating user profiles, use-case scenarios and documentation, detailed functional wire frames, technical requirements and metrics/reporting requirements.

S/he will work closely with the client, client team, and Digital Media team ensuring that all online content is strategic, user-centered, targeted and engaging, and exceeds the business objectives and project goals. S/he will coordinate additional ideas and opportunities, making recommendations for new functionalities and changes as the projects mature.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collaboration on defining the project goals and business objectives in conjunction with the project team. Responsible for documenting and distributing Digital Media specific objectives. - In conjunction with publishing and media teams, define project functionality, and create and maintain detailed functionality specifications, requirements and wire frames. - Work closely with the Director of Technology & Analytics, define and document technical requirements, including content management, functionality support and hosting. - Manage metrics strategy, specifications and analysis requirements with client manager, VP of ROI and Director of Analytics. - Work with the Project Director to detail resource requirements and project milestones, resolve any conflicts and craft maintenance plan. - Maintain client/project knowledge to ensure ongoing project adjustments/opportunities are planned. - Articulate challenges to address and resolve technical and business issues. - Lead project testing efforts. - Work with internal/external team(s) to identify and communicate required changes to the team

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to motivate and lead interdisciplinary teams. Demonstrated skill in balancing the needs of various stakeholders within budget and time constraints. - Experience managing successful media projects and developing necessary documentation. - Proven experience gathering and analyzing information and deriving conclusions to identify media opportunities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to think openly and creatively. - Exhibits outstanding problem solving skills, including ability to identify issues, and confidence and knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems. - Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets. - Strong project management and evaluation skills, including familiarity with information architecture, user experience and media best practices. - Strong functional knowledge of HTML and digital media production, database-driven sites, Content Management Systems, Web application architecture, graphic design for the Web, user interface design and accessibility, and security practices.

EDUCATIONAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in creating, managing and growing digital media for diverse audiences - Minimum 5 years of experience developing/documenting business objectives through functional and technical requirements - Deep understanding of digital communications, marketing and business strategies - Exceptional ability to collaborate, lead teams and drive complex decisions across departments - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Superior communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to generate enthusiasm
