Thriving pet loving startup seeks pet loving web designer.

Hey photoshop lover, we want to find a designer who can take our site and make it sharper, fuzzier and more connectable – all whilst keeping our many target demographics in mind. We’re looking for a designer who can bring the power of the web 2.0 train to the users who are just arriving at the platform. If you’re a designer who always considers "how will people use this site?" and can show sites in your portfolio that reflect this, we want to talk to you.

Additional experience you’ve had includes working with web development teams to actually get websites built, not just agencies that give you a remit, take your PSDs then rinse and repeat. Your knowledge of CSS is not expert, but you know enough to know what’s possible to be realized as a standards compliant website that works across all browsers – and what’s not.

Basics for the position: - photoshop fluency – you know what the ‘f’ key does and when to use it. - css experience – you design websites first and foremost but you have had a hand in building too. - you get zootoo.com and can already see how you want to make it better. - you can turn around comps fast enough to make our heads spin. - you have a passion for design and UI and you will use it to our own site and make it sing.

Pluses for the position: - you’ve designed highly interactive, community-based websites. - you’ve worked with Agile development based web teams.
