Position Overview

The Creative Solutions Business Unit’s Photoshop.com Application Services Team is expanding and looking for exceptional people that want to work in a creative, fun, and fast-paced environment.

Join us and help build the components of Adobe’s new Photoshop.com SaaS platform. If you live and breathe server-side development, then this job is for you.

You will help define, design and build the infrastructure for a scalable and distributed application service. As part of a small, dynamic team, you will also be responsible for the deployment and administration of your work across hundreds and potentially thousands of machines. You will develop administration, monitoring, load-testing, and machine-image installation programs as part of this effort.

You are comfortable operating across multiple development platforms (Linux, Windows, Mac) with expert-level experience in setting up and configuring Linux-based servers. You are an expert with C/C++ as well as PHP, Ruby on Rails (RoR), and other modern server-side development technologies. You stay current with CPU, RAM, bandwidth, power, and storage trends; you enjoy testing and optimizing your software across a variety of hardware configurations; and you enjoy administrating your work as much as you enjoy building it.

You are productive, independent, and passionate about building and maintaining large, scalable systems.

Above all else, you like building simple, reliable solutions.

Skills:

· You are an expert with Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP, and building simple REST APIs in C/C++, PHP, and Ruby on Rails.

· You are an expert at writing and debugging CGI programs on remote systems.

· You are highly skilled at Apache/lighttpd/nginx web-server configuration and deployment.

· You understand the power consumption and performance trade-offs of various hardware configurations.

· You have a basic understanding of distributed file systems, symmetric encryption algorithms, and authentication mechanisms. Education: · BS or equivalent work experience Years of Experience: · 8-10 years work experience
