Overall Purpose: SolutionSet is looking for a User Interface Designer. You are a user interface and information architecture expert. You will be involved in the design and implementation of Internet solutions for our clients, delivering premier, creative, entertaining, high-volume, high-visibility, enterprise-scale websites. You will drive the usability of all interactive and website applications, by producing the visual tools that serve as blue prints for the overall information architecture and user experience. You will ensure the usability of all interactive and website applications designed by the team by creating effective screen designs that communicate client information and interaction goals to users. You will audit client websites, research best practices, and suggest UE strategies to help clients meet their goals. We’d like to meet you if you can:

Key Areas of Responsibility: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•    Collaborate with Project Managers in organizing information, helping create/edit Information Architecture sitemaps, UI wireframes, interface prototyping (paper or HTML) and process flows
•    Working directly with content, visual design, engineering, and other teams to deliver innovative, user-centered design solutions for products
•    Working with engineering and front-end production teams to understand technical issues
•    Leading other teams in identifying and defining product needs and features
•    Researching and prioritizing user and functional requirements
•    Creating and iterating Information Architecture Schemes
•    Creating and iterating UI designs
•    Producing wireframes and detailed, written specifications of your designs for product teams
•    Planning and managing usability testing/user research to test and iterate your designs

Qualifications: The candidate must have proven ability and qualifications in the following areas:

•    1 – 3  years experience designing interfaces and IA for websites
•    Degree in a related field such as UI Design, Human Factors, Product Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design or Interaction Design preferred, or equivalent experience
•    Excellent UI design skills and a demonstrable track record of designing interfaces and writing detailed specifications for products
•    Fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Visio
•    Big picture design ideas
•    Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
•    Experience working on at a creative agency a plus
