Interactive Flash Designer Job Title: Senior Designer Location: North America – Foster City, CA Department: Sling Media Entertainment Group Reports To: Design Director, Foster City

The Sling Entertainment Group is a division of Sling Media and will deliver new applications and services enabled by the Slingbox’s marriage of familiar TV programming and richly interactive web-connected devices.

As Interactive Flash Designer you will work collaboratively with Visual Designers, Information Architects, and Product Managers to conceptualize, design, prototype and build interfaces for:

• websites
• mobile devices
• television interfaces, and
• desktop applications

As Interactive Flash Designer, you will also work with the Visual Designers and Product Managers to establish interface and interaction conventions and systems for use on all of Sling’s consumer facing applications.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years experience developing Flash interfaces • Must have a excellent feel for design and motion and how it effects usability • A solid understanding of User Centered Design philosophies and the Agile development process • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and After Effects • Must be highly detail oriented • A solid portfolio demonstrating interactive development • Agency experience is a plus. • Knowledgeable of HTML, CSS, & JavaScript • Desirable Experience With: • Developing AS 3.0 and Flex 2.0 class based applications • AJAX & Flash/JavaScript communication
