Crispin Porter + Bogusky (CP+B) — winner of Cannes’ “Interactive Agency of the Year” award — is looking for a talented Software QA Analyst to join the interactive team at the Boulder, Colorado, headquarters. We are looking for an experienced candidate to manage tests, version control, and code releases for Web, mobile, and kiosk-based projects. This candidate must be experienced in tracking defects using version-control software and must have a thorough understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser development issues.
Responsibilities: The analyst will have involvement in the entire product life cycle, from the requirements gathering to the release and maintenance of the product. They will develop organized high-level and low-level test plans and provide the status of the test-plan progression. The analyst will be responsible for logging and organizing issues in the defect-tracking software and correlating time with issues in the test-plan library. In cases in which automated test cases are needed, the analyst will write automated scripts for data-driven tests, load/stress testing, functional tests, and UI-specific tests; they must be able to work with Web, mobile, and other client-side applications. The analyst may also be responsible for testing environments and helping maintain test platforms.
Required: • Experience testing Web-based applications. • Proven success in a team environment and on individual projects. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • The ability to provide user case scenarios and user perspectives. • A high-level understanding of testing methodologies and terminology. • A demonstrated understanding and shown ability to build a test-plan suite library. • 2–3 years of experience with defect-tracking products, such as Test Director, ClearQuest, and StarTeam. • The use of Subversion for source control. • The proven ability to build and/or maintain test platforms for configuration testing. • 2¬–3 years of experience using load/stress-testing software.
Desired: • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or a related 4-year degree. • Some experience with industry-standard automated testing tools, Mercury testing tools, and/or IBM Rational testing tools. • The use of virtual machine or imaging software. • Unit-testing experience, such as NUnit. • Web design and development experience. • The ability to read and write sql commands.
