We’re looking for a triple threat of sorts for a full-time position as our User Experience lead in the NYC area—someone who has a deep grasp of usability, has a solid design portfolio and has hands-on programming experience.

Ideally, you’re a right-brain/left-brain person with at least 3 years of experience designing websites or similar interactive interfaces. Perhaps, you’re a Front-End Developer who thinks visually. Or you’re a Designer who gets your hands dirty in markup and scripting languages to solve user experience problems.

You will be part of a creative group responsible for designing and building the front-end of our website and client applications from concept, to design through front-end implementation. You understand usability best practices and can translate specs and wireframes into usable, clean and functional interfaces.

If the following describes you, then you’re a great fit:

• A bachelor’s degree, preferably in design or HCI
• Strong grasp of usability, fluent command of web typography, and an affinity for clean, grid-based design
• Minimum 3 years experience designing interactive applications or websites
• 2+ years experience hand-coding table-less, semantic, cross-browser web pages using CSS/XHTML
• Experience in developing consumer-facing social network applications is preferred
• Functional prototyping skills using DHTML, JavaScript, and/or ActionScript preferred
• Knowledge of a programming language, preferably object-oriented
