The LinkedIn engineering team is seeking talented and passionate senior software engineers to help build new features and infrastructure components for the LinkedIn Communication System.

The Communication System is a responsible for email delivery, LinkedIn Inbox, network update feeds, the discussion framework, and LinkedIn answers.

We are looking for:

• in depth and hands on knowledge of Java, the J2EE platform and experience working with relevant tools (IDEs, ant, junit, etc.)
• solid understanding of design, coding and testing patterns
• outstanding coding productivity
• ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven collaborative and iterative programming environment
• strong understanding of the server side software, scalability, performance and reliability aspects
• prior industry experience or participation in open source projects (Java-based) is a plus
• 5 plus years of industry experience
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
