To accomplish our business goals, we use Ruby on Rails with an Agile development process to build a robust and highly configurable content delivery and management platform.  We are seeking a strong Ruby on Rails Software Engineer to help us create more compelling features and expand the capabilities of our publishing platform.

Historically we&#8217;ve found candidates with experiences similar to items listed below are successful in our interviewing process and as successful team members:

&#8226;	Proven significant knowledge of building dynamic websites and understanding of the MVC pattern as applied to the web with interest to build Rails apps.
&#8226;	Knowledge of relational databases concepts (MySQL, Oracle), schema design, implementation and SQL.
&#8226;	Mastery of XML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX/JSON, HTTP, and Web Services.
&#8226;	Open-source software experience/knowledge a plus
&#8226;	Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or prior work experience that is applicable to the position.
&#8226;	Experience working in Unix environments (Mac OS X, Linux) while also comfortable verifying your work in Windows clients
&#8226;	A personal demeanor allowing you to interact effectively with other team members, management and clients. Must have excellent verbal/written communications skills, as there is a high degree of interaction with an expectation of leadership in this role. 
&#8226;	Requires a customer support orientation and competence in response to vendors and staff during system implementation and problem resolution.
