Mashable, Inc 2009-10-29T18:08:06Z JOB DESCRIPTION The Development Project leader is responsible for managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to executing, developing, implementing and maintaining innovative new projects in the social media space. Projects include custom WordPress development and complete web apps, devised and built by the Project Leader. All projects will be discussed at a high strategic level. Your skills should include strategic and realistic goals based on your experience, but should hold our company’s future with your vision. All projects will be Social Media focused including aspects of User Generated Content, integrating 3rd Party APIs, developing all projects in-house. You must be forward thinking, highly experienced and diligent. TASKS The Development Project Leader is expected to: *Define the product strategy and roadmap *Define and segment the target market *Create product milestones and measure weekly progress to goals *Record and maintain full documentation for the product *Articulate the key user benefits of product features *Own product launch details, and support the Marketing and Editorial team in launching product *Examine daily/weekly customer feedback reports and adjust product direction accordingly *Use the product(s) on a daily/weekly basis *Be the key competitive expert REQUIREMENTS *Developing advanced web applications *Writing low maintenance, high reliability code to be used in a 24/7 environment *Working with peers in other groups to define software standards and explore new technologies.
