LightSky is seeking an experienced and motivated Ruby on Rails / PHP developer to develop and maintain custom projects with new and existing clients.

LightSky is a web design and software development firm that has worked with hundreds of clients since its founding 10 years ago.  Using current web technologies we build made-to-order, web-based tools such as content management systems, shopping carts, intranets, and extranets. Because each client is unique, each project is unique &#8211; there are no cookie-cutter solutions or templates because one size doesn&#8217;t fit all.

JOB SUMMARY
Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails, PHP, PostGreSQL and MySQL.  Familiarity with Javascript, CSS, DHTML, Python, and databases is a plus.  Review, analyze and modify existing programming code.

The successful candidate must be able to work in an Agile development environment. Must be detail oriented, dependable and reliable.  Must also be able to handle multiple projects and prioritize accordingly. 

Essential skills and experience:
Programming experience in PHP, Ruby on Rails, SQL, JSP, Java Script, CSS, &amp; HTML. Skills in testing and debugging.  Strong written and verbal communications skills.
