  <description>We're looking for a few Web Producers with experience from Associate to Executive at eScholastic, the digital media division of Scholastic. The qualifications for a base-level Producer follows below.

eScholastic Producers develop and manage small to mid-scale projects for Scholastic business units and internal eScholastic initiatives. Projects primarily involve the creation of new web sites and ongoing operations of existing web sites which consist of Scholastic editorial content, interactive games, web animation, and software applications.

Producers are responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management including client relations, project specification and documentation, budgets, resource allocation, and defining and maintaining project schedules and workplans.

Producers also work closely with internal resources and vendors, as well as the engagement team and the client. You will need to coordinate between departments and prioritize tasks. You will be involved with every aspect of the project from inception to QA, and charged with delivering the project on time and on budget, with excellent quality.

A successful Producer will be the right hybrid of creative, technical, and project management, and have:

    * Strong client facing experience, excellent people skills, and an innate ability to plan projects and keep them on track in a highly organized and logical manner.
    * A high level of personal energy, passion for your work, and overall sense of responsibility.
    * Knowledge of industry best practices and developments, and are excited about the creative, technological, and business opportunities that are available from being the premier digital media group at Scholastic

    * Basic HTML
    * Basic web design/graphic design ability
    * Staying abreast of related disciplines - digital marketing, online business development, online writing

Required Skills:

    * Producing complex consumer-oriented websites including features such as flash scripting, content management systems, games and activities, e-commerce, membership programs
    * Defining scope of work, assessing resources, scheduling, budgeting, project management, defining and meeting milestones and deadlines, verbal and written communication, managing up and down the internal and client hierarchies
    * Client and team management including business, technical and creative personalities
    * MS Project Scheduling; budgeting &amp; financial tracking
    * The right mindset: pride in quality work, eager communicator, team player, personable, ability to both lead and follow, can-do attitude, willingness to take accountability for critical decisions, willingness to contribute to company knowledge, strategy &amp; well being

Associate Producers will have some of these skills; Producers will have most; Senior Producers will have at least 4 years of experience; Executive Producers will have more than that with additional experience in a related and mutually supportive field of knowledge, such as digital strategy, SEO/SEM, children's interactive, online learning/publishing, technical site builds, Agile methodology.
